What We Do:Marine Industries Association of Florida Continuing to Work for You and the Future of Boating Since 1970, Marine Industries of Florida (MIAF) has taken a proactive stance to become a visible and audible voice for all marine related businesses in Tallahassee and the State of Florida. Every year over 2000 bills are filed and the MIAF is in Tallahassee watching, providing information, supporting and in some cases opposing, legislation that could impact the businesses that support our 18 billion dollar marine industry. As an Association we realize that in order to effectively make legislation changes we must be able to provide proactive solutions, not just reactive commentary. With that in mind, and the support of our membership, MIAF works closely with the Florida Legislature through our lobbying firm Timmins Consulting, LLC. Under the leadership of Missy Timmins and her team, we work diligently to develop relationships and become the major resource for all marine related information.
